A Romantic Destination Wedding in Ravello
Ravello’s timeless beauty set the stage for Benjamin and April’s unforgettable wedding on the Amalfi Coast — a celebration of love, laughter, and elegant simplicity in one of Italy’s most iconic hilltop towns.
The day began at the prestigious Belmond Hotel Caruso, where both bride and groom prepared in separate suites overlooking the coast. April was surrounded by her bridesmaids and her mother, enjoying a calm, graceful morning filled with quiet emotion and joyful anticipation. Meanwhile, Benjamin shared laughter and vintage snapshots with his closest friends, using point-and-shoot film cameras to capture the moment in a nostalgic, analog way.
The ceremony was held at the Church of San Giovanni del Toro, a hidden gem of Ravello with Romanesque architecture and sweeping coastal views. Their Catholic wedding was intimate and profound, with every detail steeped in tradition and beauty.
After the ceremony, the couple slipped away for portraits at the magnificent Villa Rufolo, framed by Moorish arches and lush Mediterranean gardens. Their walk through Piazza del Duomo, hand in hand among the charm of Ravello’s historic center, felt like a scene from a classic Italian film.
The evening continued at Villa Eva, a refined private villa known for its panoramic views and romantic atmosphere. Here, the mood turned from elegant to joyfully convivial: tambourines played as guests wandered the gardens, toasts and heartfelt speeches lit up the sunset, and a Champagne Tower added a playful sparkle to the cake cutting.
As night fell, the gardens came alive with live DJ music, and dancing continued under the stars. Every moment — from the intimate glances to the spontaneous laughter — was a reflection of Benjamin and April’s connection and the energy of the people around them.
With planning by the talented Barbara Colombo of Sinfonia Wedding, every detail came together with effortless grace. This Ravello wedding was not only a celebration — it was a deeply personal experience, woven with the textures, sounds, and soul of southern Italy.
