Ben and Bentley's Wedding Video at Villa Olimpia in Bucine, Arezzo

A very Tuscan wedding!

Villa Olimpia Wedding Videographer

There are things in life that are connected. They share the same space in our minds, and it is impossible for us to tell them apart. For example, it is impossible to talk about Tuscany without mentioning Dante as it is impossible to talk about Bentley without talking about her soulmate Ben.
When the American couple decided to tie the knot, their dream was to celebrate their destination wedding in the bright lights of the Tuscan hills. Of course, Studio D’Essai were present to commit Ben and Bentley’s story to film and, trust us, it was really something unique.

Tuscany is home to some of the most famous Italian landscapes and it is also the cradle of our language. A language of love and acceptance, something that we recognised in the two lovebird as well.

They decided to hold the rite in the garden of the wonderful Villa Olimpia in Bucine, Arezzo, surrounded by the nature. This spectacular venue is something special, and it is particularly loved by newlyweds and tourists for its bucolic scenery and its elegance. Ben and Bentley got ready in two separate rooms, as it is customary, and when they got out we took the chance to film their first look.

Bentley hid behind a corner and signaled Ben to approach by showing only her hand. It was fun and cute and gave them a moment or two together, to realise what was happening around them and to them. They were about to get married in Italy, and what could be more exciting than that?
As a filmmaker himself, Ben looked quite amused to be on the other side of the lens for a change, and for us, well, it is always rewarding for a wedding videographer to have the chance to witness those genuine little moments.

We really love them. They are amazing together. They have fun. They laugh. They share a connection that cannot be described by mere words but can be seen in the way they joke with each other, the way she dances holding his hand while walking down the aisle.

Another special moment was when they read the vows. It was a rollercoaster of laughs and tears, but most of all, those were the words of two people who love, respect and like each other. Bentley could not wait to kiss the bride. In fact, he asked if he could do it even before they even said “I do”. A few seconds later, finally, the moment arrived. They were pronounced husband and wife!

Afterwards, they had their feast in the rustic dining room. Two semi-imperial tables where the guests were seated, plus one intimate table where Ben and Bentley were sitting together, with a view of the fireplace and the garden on the other side and the best food and selection of wines Italy has to offer. After all, it wouldn’t be a Tuscan wedding without it, right?

The world stopped existing for a night of fun and happiness. The lovebirds’ first dance was to “The way you look tonight” by Sinatra, and boy, did it fit the situation. Her effortless grace and his style perfectly matched. As the great Poet said “Beauty awakens the soul to act”, so Ben held Bentley in his arms and kissed her again and again.

And this was just the beginning of what we are sure it will be a wonderful and long marriage!
