Villa Elide Wedding Photographer

There is a secret hiding in plain sight in Positano that attracts sensitive souls, adventure seekers and, especially, lovers. When you climb the Sentiero degli Dei – the Path of the Gods – up to the very top and tower over the entire town, you only need to stand there and wait for the pink sunset with your special someone. There, at the perfect hour, there is a far, thin line where the sea rises to kiss the blushing sky. It is spiritual elevation, it is a sight for sore eyes and, most of all, it is pure romance.

It goes without saying that when Nick fell for Nicole, he started thinking about the perfect place for their destination wedding. Hence, of course, he chose the gem of Southern Italy: Positano! From North Carolina, the American couple walked the line that leads to happiness. Three days discovering the Amalfi Coast and its beauty, falling in love all over again at every sunrise and sunset, experiencing the southern hospitality and getting lost in Positano curbs and endings like the Sentiero degli Innamorati.

Rehearsal dinner in the stunning Ravello, where family and friends gathered to wish luck to the betrothed and visit the town. The real show started on the second day. Positano welcomed Nick and Nicole with open arms. Bride and groom got ready at the renowned Villa Elide, AKA Villa dei Fisici, the number one pick for all those lovers who want to get married surrounded by beauty. And, talking about beauty, the bride walked down the aisle in a stunning Galia Lahav dress and Christian Louboutin stilettos. The pearly white gown seemed to glow on its own. The sensual mermaid silhouette gracefully embraced Nicole’s body, exalting her feminine curves. The intricate low cut lacy corset, with its heart shaped neckline and off the shoulder sleeves, opens up at the bottom in a voluminous, soft, cloud-like skirt. The most distinctive part of this spectacular wedding dress is without a doubt its backside: the floral lace seems to dissolve on the bride’s back, and becomes an impalpable transparent veil that leaves the skin visible and lines the spine with glittering little buttons, a subtle yet precious detail which gives even more light to the outfit. The simplicity of the fabric of the skirt contrasts and complements the elaborated upper part of the gown, giving the look a modern and fashionable, yet fairy tale and romantic style. The dress has an impressive train, ending in a tumultuous tangled hemline, which reminds us of Positano’s sparkling sea waves breaking on the coast during winter days. Without breaking his gaze, Nick held her tight knowing he would never ever let her go. The civil rite was held on the small terrace overlooking the town and its golden shores. Nick and Nicole promised each other everlasting love in the presence of 20 guests. Their children had a central role in the ceremony. The boys wore almost the same outfit as their father: a tailored dark suit with a pink bow-tie for the groom and pink necktie for the men of honour. Their little girl took on the role of bridesmaid. She looked adorable in her fluffy pink dress and a crown of flowers, and had the important role of bringing the Cartier rings to her parents to seal their bond.

A small wedding in Positano was a dream come true for the two Americans, and Villa Elide was just the icing on the wedding cake. Its view of the Coast, those bright summer days, the emerald gardens and the indoor lounges and dining rooms make for a unique wedding venue. Wedding Planner Simona Borea did a wonderful job, meticulously planning everything.

Afterwards, dinner at the Imperial Table, finely adorned with flowers and candles. Laughter and happiness filled the room, especially when the music made everyone romp around. Wedding videographers and photographers of Studio D’Essai saved the couple’s sweetest moments for posterity with professional yet intimate pictures and videos, so that Nick and Nicole will get to keep a slice of Italy they can treasure for years to come.

There is a secret hiding in plain sight in Positano for those who venture there, and it is called Love.
