Villa Diamante Wedding Photographer and Videographer
“Love is in the air”, sang John Paul Young in 1989, and since then those words have become a hymn for people looking for love all over the world.
For Marcello and Sine this is all but a metaphor. He, a pilot from Vomero, Naples, and she, an air stewardess from Thailand, fell in love on a plane.
And that was just the beginning…
A love story for the ages that the couple decided to celebrate in the city of the sun, Naples, surrounded by its castles, museums, warm weather and even warmer people, deep blue sky and crystal sea. You know what they say: in Naples, you fall in love all over again at every curb.
The city did justice to them in every possible way. The day exploded in a thousand colours on their wedding. They got mesmerised by the stunning view from their house up on the hill as they were getting ready. Preparations are an important part of such a unique day, that carry a mix of feelings like anticipation and a bit of nervousness. For Marcello and Sine there were emotions at play that go well beyond all that.
They decided to help one another on that special morning: a testament to the trust and support their relationship is built on. After, Marcello left for the wedding venue before seeing Sine’s dress. A bit of mystery and tradition, as we all know, is always a good thing.
They didn’t compromise: the venue, the location… everything was exactly as they fantasised. Villa Diamante in Posillipo, Naples, allowed them to tower over the city and look all the way into its heart. The majestic wedding venue has a ravishing view from its terrace and a garden always in bloom. The civil rite was held there, as well as the celebrations. They flew in Sine’s parents and loved ones from Thailand for the ceremony. For most of them, it was the first time in Italy. Definitely, the first Italian wedding they went to. Could there be a better occasion to visit Naples? You cannot help but find a little bit of history or an interesting story everywhere you turn, in this city. The final resting place of the great poets Virgil and Giacomo Leopardi at the Parco Virgiliano, the impressing Maschio Angioino, right in front of the port, or Castel Dell’Ovo, a castle at the centre of a hamlet on the sea.
Marcello read a letter to Sine, telling her how she caught him off-guard and, after that moment, how his life was never the same again. The bride declared her undying love in the same way. She looked into his eyes and deep into his very soul, and told him that her heart was his from the first moment.
It was evident Sine’s smile, a radiant figure in a White A-line gown with an Illusion off shoulder neckline and lacy floral fabric over the bodice. Marcello, wearing dark jacked and trousers over an elegant light vest, was on cloud nine. He took a deep breath, knowing that the following seconds would be the most important of his life.
Studio D’Essai did a meticulous job carried out with passion and attention to details. The photo sesh was never fake, for the photographers patiently waited for genuine smiles and natural poses, while the videographers filmed the most poignant and romantic moments without ever interfering with the natural flow of things. Sine’s big smile at the Parco Virgiliano with her bouquet made of white and blue flowers is a sight for sore eyes, and the couple’s kiss next to three-tier, finely decorated wedding cake tells all you need to know about their fairytale romance.
It was not much after the elated couple’s first dance that the guests unleashed their crazy side on the floor. Everybody danced at the sound of laughter and joyful music. They surrendered to the rhytm of a night still young and a life still full of surprises.
